About Us

An independent studio building textile AI that lasts.

Activsolar is a small, senior team headquartered in Wrocław. We design, engineer and operate the AI infrastructure that mills, designers and recyclers use every day.

Our story

Founded inside a weaving hall, not a co-working space.

Activsolar began in 2022 as a research project with a Polish weaving cooperative outside Łódź. The brief was simple: stop relying on a lab a hundred kilometres away to tell us what fibers were in our own samples. From that one pilot we built the model, then the dashboard, then a company.

What we believe

The textile industry doesn't need another platform that promises everything. It needs measurement honest enough to act on, software durable enough to outlast a sales cycle, and engineers patient enough to learn the craft before disrupting it.

How we operate

We deliberately stay small. Every engagement is staffed with senior engineers from week one — no juniors learning on your dime, no offshore hand-offs. Code is documented as it's written. Decisions are recorded so you can revisit them in two years.

What we value

Four principles, written on the wall.

Craft over scale

We'd rather work with ten clients deeply than a hundred superficially. Every line of code carries a name.

Measure, don't market

We publish our error rates and our failures. Sustainability claims that can't be measured don't ship from this studio.

Stay on the floor

Our engineers spend time inside mills and sorting halls. Software written from a desk alone never survives the shift.

Open & accountable

Weekly demos, clear contracts, public roadmaps. You always know what we're building and why.

Marcin Kolinski

Founder & Principal Engineer

Computer vision and distributed systems engineer. Previously shipped vision pipelines at scale across European e-commerce and logistics. Founded Activsolar to focus on textile.

Senior bench, on call

A trusted bench of senior ML, hardware and design specialists assembled per project — never a stranger from the bench list.

Headquartered in Wrocław

Operating from Waniliowa 6/3, with field engineers regularly on-site across the EU.

Focused load

We deliberately keep our active engagements small so every client gets senior attention from week one.

Careers

Senior, curious, and quietly ambitious?

We grow by 1–2 engineers per year and only when there's real work to give them. If textile, computer vision and long-horizon software are your three things, write to us.
